Cancer Quilt Auction Update

Exciting News!!

Planning is underway for the 2011 auction and we thought you would like to know what is happening.  The next auction will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at the Sutter Cancer Center.  The format of the 2011 auction will be the same as 2008. We will hold an online auction in the summer of 2011. The quilt display and the silent auction will open October 1, 2011.  On November 5, 2011, Auction Day, the live auction will start at 10AM and then at 1PM volunteers begin closing the silent auction. 

Now we realize that November 2011 seems far away, but there are lots of things to do.  First, we want to be sure everyone has plenty of time to make a quilt. We will begin collecting quilts September 1, 2010 and will continue through September 1, 2011.  As in the past, quilts may be of any size, color or style. We ask that they be new, quilted (not tied) and have a 4” hanging sleeve sewn to the back.  The quilt maker may attach a label to the quilt, but it is not required. Superior Self Storage at 7716 Folsom Boulevard in Sacramento has once again generously donated a safe, clean and air conditioned space for us to store the quilts.
